Basic Oxygen Furnaces

It has been recorded greate increases in the lifetimes at the working linings of modern BOF converters due to the slag splashing techniques. In order to achieve more increases in the performances; it is recommended to use top quality Mgo-C bricks based on high grade fused magnesia in the trunnions, tapping area, impact pad and purging plug surroundings in the converters which are affected by the metallurgical and the operational factors.
